Hello Liz Beth,
ReplyDeleteHope your doing great. I follow you on Instagram and your blog.
I loved what you did in your bathroom with the strips! I'm actually going to be doing strips in my baby's room.
I have a question for you because it seems like you have knock down texture walls? I do as well at my home.
The reason why I wanted to ask you about your walls is because some people are telling me it's hard to do straight strips on a textured wall.
I was hoping you could give me some tips on painting the strips. Your came out completely fabulous!
Thank you so much! And helpful tips would be great!!! :)

Hi Valerie!
DeleteMy bathroom walls are textured and I hate it! What I did is buy the best painting tape at Home Depot. The one I got is called Frog Tape. It's a little pricey but well worth it! Once you got the tape in the lines you want, grab a rag or some type of towel and use it to press the tape against the wall to make sure it's really secure and doesn't move at all. That will help a lot in making sure the lines are straight. When I remove the tape though the paint always smears no matter how slow you do it! So I have a small paint brush that's normally used for paintings and I paint over the smears so it looks straight. It does take a little while but if you want super straight looking lines this is the way to do it. That's about all that I do. I know it can take some time to do but the end result is well worth it!
Hopefully I helped you some and I'm sure your nursery will turn out great! If you have any other questions please let me know!
And thank you for following along on my blog and Instagram!
XoXo,
Liz
Where did you get the black & white curtains from?
