A UNIQUE GUEST BEDROOM

Hello friends! Of course I've taken a long time to post on the blog. I've just been so busy. When you do what you love, there is never enough time for everything! The days fly by. But nonetheless I am back! Today I want to share with you my latest project. This happens to be my daughters old bedroom. She is engaged, getting married soon, and moved to Long Beach for school. So she has no need for this old room anymore now that she has her own apartment in So Cal. Her old teen room was left behind but I kept her style in mind decorating it for the new guest bedroom since it will always be her room even if I use it for guests. The first thing I did
was choose the color for the walls. As many of you know by now, by favorite colors are black and white. It took me quite a bit of time to choose the color black I used. When I decorate something, I think it up in my mind and I see exactly how it will turn out. And exactly how I pictured it in my mind is the way it came out. When I started to put the paint on the wall my first thought was "OMG what am I doing". It looked way too dark at first.  Of course the paint looks different when it's fresh on the wall versus when it's dry. As soon as it was dry I fell in love with the color. I think you can never go wrong with any Benjamin Moore paint! chose the white comforter from HomeGoods so that none of the colors clash or compete with each other and I can also change the decor as many times as I like without having to change the comforter due to the color. Above is a picture of the room before.

I hope you all have a great weekend and don't forget you can follow me on Instagram and Facebook
for more pictures and tips!

  4. Oh wow! Her old bedroom is so stunning! Growing up, I would have killed for that room. Still would! The new room is beautiful though. Can't believe your daughter is getting married, you don't look old enough to have kids over the age of 10! Hope I age as well as you!

  6. Hi Karen, sorry I haven't been able to respond sooner. Thanks for stopping by my blog. The paint I always use is flat. I only use semi gloss for the kitchen and bathrooms. Have a good day Karen and thanks again.
